| pci simple communications controller The only component that didn't install automatically on my x32 laptop is a pci simple communications controller (not sure what it is). Re: XPS One A2420 PCI Simple Communications Controller driver missing after Windows 8 Upgrade Jump to solution I did a clean install, which wiped out everything on my hard drive and started from scratch (of course, I had backed everything up). I discovered one of my networking drivers was faulty and after taking advice i reinstalled windows 7 completely. After completing this however i still could not connect and now i have a problem with the PCI simple communications controller. Please could someone advise me on how the repair this driver and ultimately fix my connectivity problems.
- Apr 16, 2007 When I update the PCI Simple Communications Controller driver and point it to the.inf file it says it didn't find anything. I then tried to add a modem myself. When it looks for a device connected to the computer it only finds the PCI Simple Communications Controller and says there is no modem connected to the PC. I have installed the driver.
- So whatever the Windows 7, 8 and windows 10, all of the questions about “PCI Simple Communications Controller driver missing” are related to the AMT Management Engine Interface file. Find and download the related Intel Management Engine Interface(MEI) driver and install to solve the problem.
