Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your DocumentsElectronic ArtsThe Sims 3Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

There is no CC or anything but the base game content. It costs only 18,000 and has everything that a small sim family starting out would need. Here is a link to download the house, and also a link to a video tutorial of it being built so you can see it in full detail.
Btw, the car, and bike are included.

- edited June 2013I really want to download some stuff from the exchange but I only have the base game. I heard if the download I DL has other items I do not have that they will just be like boxes every where in the house. (im not sure how to say that lol)
So does anyone know of houses, people, worlds etc. that have only been made with sims 3?
If you want a decent lot for the base game, try using the Advance Search function. It will turn up a surprising amount of homes/lots available. Still don't like what you see? Can't find anything you like? Try requesting a custom house from D.N.A builders. You'll be surprised at what they can do. I got a request in for a hawaiian themed house for base game only.0
