Why Won't My Torrents Download

The file appears in Vuze and it says downloading but the ETA is infinity and it won't download. A work around that seems to work for me is to stop all torrents, start them again then exit UTorrent - go to your AppData/Roaming folder under your user folder and delete all the.old files then restart UTorrent - all of my 6 downloads running now.

I seem to be having a problem with Qbittorrent, I recently tried to see if I could optimize Qbittorrent using a guide that I found online.

My problem is that my torrents stopped downloading and uploading, Everything has stopped. I know that it works somewhat because when I restart my computer Qbittorrent gets some fluctuation in the DL bar. I tried uninstalling, Deleting the preferences folder to reset the settings, restarting my computer, exiting and reopening Qbittorrent, Nothing seems to have worked for more than a few seconds. I know that my internet is fine because I can do tests and browse the web just fine. Its just that the torrents don't seem to want to do anything.

I used a calculator to determine what settings would be the best for my connection.

Do you seed more than download? or vice versa? I download more than I seed.

How many tasks do you expect to run on average? Not many, Enough to keep downloading at a steady rate.

Do you use the machine for other tasks simultaneous with BitTorrent downloads? Plex when someone uses it.

Are there other users on the LAN? No

  4. Restart the computer and check.

Method 2:

Place the computer in Clean Boot state and check if the issue persists. This is to check if the issue is caused due to any third party program/app.
